Maintaining the Crystal Quest Nitrate Removal Filter Cartridge is simple but essential. The cartridge requires manual salinity regeneration to maintain its optimum performance. Here’s a quick guide on how to do it:
- Dissolve Salt: Dissolve 2-3 cups of salt in 3-4 cups of water.
- Soak the Cartridge: Soak the cartridge in the saltwater solution for 1-2 hours. Use something to hold the cartridge down if needed.
- Rinse and Reinstall: After soaking, rinse the cartridge with running tap water and soak it in tap water for another 1-2 hours. Then, reinstall the cartridge.
Remember, regeneration is not required before the first use, even if the cartridge has been stored unopened for some time. Regular regeneration ensures that the media remains effective in removing nitrates from your water supply.
Important Note: The cartridge(s) in this system require manual salinity regeneration. The media must be recharged in order to maintain optimum performance. If the media is not regenerated, then the media will exhaust and result in a permeate of 0. The cycle of regeneration will vary based on the influent level of contaminants.

This five-year limited warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. Aqua Home Supply will, at its discretion, either repair or replace any Product found to be defective under normal use during the warranty period. The repaired or replacement Product will be covered for the remaining duration of the original warranty.

This warranty does not cover:

- Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications.
- Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic damage, scratches, dents, or blemishes.
- Consumable parts, such as batteries or accessories, unless otherwise stated.
