Which WellMate tank do I need?
Pressure tank sizing is driven by your pump's flow rate (GPM), not your household size. A common rule is one gallon of drawdown per GPM of pump output at a one-minute minimum run time; pumps over 1 HP or homes with irrigation usually call for an 80- or 120-gallon tank. If you're replacing an existing steel tank, match or exceed its total volume — the WellMate WM-9 (30 gal) and WM-12 (40 gal) are the usual swaps for the 32–36 gallon steel tanks found in most homes.
