Fleck 2510 AiQ Water Softener
The Fleck 2510 AiQ is Pentair's new-generation metered water softener, built on the proven 2510 valve body with the new AiQ controller and powerhead. It replaces the discontinued Fleck 2510 SXT. It keeps the 2510's high flow (19 GPM continuous, 24 GPM peak) and adds a full-color display, USB-C programming and a modular powerhead that is faster to service.
Sized from 32,000 to 110,000 grains, the 2510 AiQ fits larger homes, well water and high-demand households where a smaller valve would cause a pressure drop.

Fleck 2510 AiQ Key Features

How the Fleck 2510 AiQ Water Softener Works
Hard water passes through the resin tank, where calcium and magnesium are exchanged for sodium. The AiQ meter counts every gallon. When the programmed capacity is reached, the valve runs a downflow regeneration: backwash, brine draw and slow rinse, rapid rinse, and brine tank refill. Soft water is restored automatically.
Upgrading from a Fleck 2510 SXT?
The 2510 AiQ uses the same 2510 valve body, a 2.5"-8 NPSM tank thread and a 1.05" O.D. distributor, so it fits the same tank and plumbing footprint as the SXT it replaces.

Is the Fleck 2510 SXT discontinued?
Yes. Pentair has discontinued the Fleck 2510 SXT. The Fleck 2510 AiQ is its direct replacement, using the same 2510 valve body with the new AiQ controller and powerhead.
What's the difference between the Fleck 2510 AiQ and the 2510 SXT?
Both use the 2510 valve body and have the same flow ratings. The AiQ adds a full-color display, USB-C programming and software updates, benchtop programming, a status light bar, a modular powerhead and a NEMA 3R/IP54 rating. Cycle times also run longer: up to 240 minutes, versus 199 on the SXT.
Fleck 2510 vs 5600: which do I need?
The 2510 is the higher-flow valve, at 19 GPM continuous versus 12 GPM on the 5600. Choose the 2510 for larger homes, 3+ bathrooms, 1" plumbing, well water or any system at 64,000 grains or more.
What size Fleck 2510 AiQ water softener do I need?
Multiply the number of people by 75 gallons per day, then by your hardness in grains per gallon. Add 5 gpg for every 1 ppm of iron. Choose a size that covers about 7–10 days between regenerations. Our team can size it for you from a water test.
Is the 2510 AiQ metered?
Yes. It regenerates on demand, based on the gallons actually used, not on a fixed timer.
Can I install it outdoors?
The AiQ powerhead carries a NEMA 3R/IP54 rating for wet and outdoor conditions. The valve is rated for 34–110°F water, so protect it from freezing.
