Fleck 2510 AiQ Calcite Neutralizer Filter
The Fleck 2510 AiQ Calcite Neutralizer Filter raises the pH of acidic well water to neutral, which stops the corrosion behind blue-green stains, pinhole leaks and metallic-tasting water. It pairs the Pentair Fleck 2510 valve and new AiQ controller with a bed of calcite, or a calcite/Corosex blend for lower pH.
As water flows through, the calcite dissolves just enough to neutralize the acid, and it slows down as pH reaches neutral, so it won't over-correct. A scheduled backwash keeps the bed loose, which prevents the packing and channeling common in non-backwashing tanks.

How the Fleck 2510 AiQ Calcite Neutralizer Works
- Neutralize: Acidic water flows down through the calcite bed. The media dissolves slowly and raises pH toward neutral.
- Backwash: On a set schedule, the AiQ valve reverses flow to lift and loosen the bed and flush fine particles to drain.
- Rinse and Top Up: A fast rinse resettles the bed. Calcite is used up gradually, so you top it up periodically.

What does a calcite neutralizer do?
It raises the pH of acidic water to neutral. Low-pH water eats away at copper pipes, leaves blue-green stains, and can give water a metallic taste.
Calcite or calcite/Corosex blend?
Use calcite for water around pH 6.0–6.8. Choose the blend for more acidic water, around pH 5.5–6.5. Corosex works faster, so check your pH after startup.
Will a calcite filter over-correct my pH?
Calcite is self-limiting: it stops dissolving as water nears neutral. The Corosex blend is stronger, so the blend ratio matters on water that's only mildly acidic.
Does a calcite neutralizer add hardness?
Yes, some calcium, plus magnesium with Corosex. On hard water, put a water softener after the neutralizer.
How often do I add calcite?
